DODO Guide
DODO Navigator
DODO Navigator is a useful guide to the Act on the protection of personal data processed in connection with the prevention and combating of crime, which is the second – after the GDPR – pillar of the national personal data protection system.
By linking the recitals of the preamble and the provisions of Directive 2016/680 with the individual articles of the DODO Act, the reader of the DODO Navigator will be able to understand the legislator's intentions and correctly interpret and apply the provisions of the Act.
The DODO Guide contains:
- the text of the Act of 14 December on the protection of personal data processed in connection with the prevention and combating of crime,
- the content of Directive 2016/680 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by competent authorities for the purposes of the prevention, investigation, detection or prosecution of criminal offences or the execution of criminal penalties, and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Council Framework Decision 2008/977/JHA,
- links between the DODO Act and Directive 2016/680 (interactive).
