How should the user be informed about cookies when collecting consent?
ANSWER
The information provided should be clear and comprehensible to the average user. The structure of the information will differ depending on the number of cookies. The information obligation covering a single cookie where data will not be transferred to third parties will look different from an information obligation covering dozens of cookies where data will be transferred to many third parties.
In the case of extensive information obligations, for greater clarity it is worth presenting them in an organised manner, i.e. dividing individual cookies into groups, where individual cookies are subsequently described (in accordance with the requirements arising from the CJEU Planet49 ruling).
