Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

1. Without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies, any data subject shall have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of his habitual residence, his place of work or the place where the alleged violation was committed, if he believes that the processing of personal data concerning him violates this Regulation.
2. The supervisory authority to which the complaint was filed shall inform the complainant of the progress and outcome of the complaint’s examination, including the possibility of seeking judicial remedy under Article 78.
