Accrediting body; rules for accreditation

1. Accreditation of entities applying for the right to certification in the field of personal data protection, as referred to in Article 43 of Regulation 2016/679, hereinafter referred to as "accreditation", is granted by the Polish Accreditation Center.

2. Accreditation is granted under the terms of Article 43 (1-7) of Regulation 2016/679.

3. The provisions of Chapter 4 of the Law of April 13, 2016 on Conformity Assessment and Market Surveillance Systems (Journal of Laws of 2017, item 1398, and 2018, item 650) shall apply to the granting of accreditation, with the exception of Article 24 paragraphs 4-7 and Article 25 paragraphs 1 and 2 to the extent of limiting the scope of accreditation and its suspension.
