Article 55 GDPR
Competence

1. Each supervisory authority shall be competent to perform the tasks and exercise the powers entrusted to it pursuant to this Regulation on the territory of its Member State.

2. Where the processing is carried out by public authorities or private entities acting pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) or (e), the competent authority shall be the supervisory authority of the Member State concerned. In such cases, Article 56 shall not apply.

3. Supervisory authorities are not competent to supervise processing operations carried out by courts in the course of their administration of justice.
