Article 50 GDPR
International cooperation on the protection of personal data
The Commission and the supervisory authorities shall take appropriate action towards third countries and international organisations to:
(a) developing international cooperation mechanisms to facilitate the effective enforcement of personal data protection rules;
(b) to provide mutual international assistance in the enforcement of personal data protection laws, including through notifications, complaints, investigative assistance and exchange of information subject to appropriate safeguards for the protection of personal data and other fundamental rights and freedoms;
(c) involving the relevant actors concerned in discussions and activities aimed at promoting international cooperation in the field of data protection law enforcement;
(d) disseminating the exchange and documentation of personal data protection laws and practices, including legal conflicts with third countries.
