On what basis may personal data be processed when conducting online training? The training sessions will be recorded.

ANSWER

An organiser wishing to record training and then make it available is obliged to inform all training participants of this and obtain appropriate consents. Recording the training and subsequently making it available therefore cannot take place without the knowledge and consent of participants.

To avoid obtaining consents from all participants and problematic situations in which not all participants would give such consents, a good practice is to make available a recording showing only the trainer's presentation, without visible chat and images of participants. Many training platforms have an option to hide chat visibility and the participant list.
