Repeal provision

The Law of August 29, 1997 on the Protection of Personal Data (Journal of Laws of 2016, item 922, and 2018, items 138 and 723) shall be repealed, with the exception of Article 1, Article 2, Article 3 (1), Article 4-7, Articles 14-22, Articles 23-28, Art. 31 and Chapters 4, 5 and 7, which shall remain in force with regard to the processing of personal data for the purpose of recognizing, preventing, detecting and combating criminal acts, conducting proceedings in cases involving such acts, and enforcing judgments thereon, ordering punishments and coercive measures to the extent specified in the provisions constituting the basis for the operation of the services and authorities authorized to perform tasks in this regard, until the date of entry into force of the provisions implementing Directive 2016/680 of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) of April 27, 2016. on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by competent authorities for the purposes of prevention, investigation, detection and prosecution of criminal offenses and the execution of penalties, on the free movement of such data and repealing Council Framework Decision 2008/977/JHA (Official Journal of the EU L 119 of 04.05.2016, p. 89).
