(102) This Regulation shall be without prejudice to international agreements between the Union and third countries governing the transfer of personal data, including those containing adequate safeguards for data subjects. Member States may enter into international agreements providing, inter alia, for the transfer of personal data to third countries or international organisations, provided that such agreements do not affect this Regulation or other provisions of Union law and provide for an adequate level of protection of the fundamental rights of data subjects.
